Troubadours and Treble Singers are sibling ensembles. Just like a brother an sister, they have things in common and things that are different.
Similarities:
-Both meet on Wednesdays from 3:30-5 -Both sing great, high level choral music -Both will make you a better singer -Both groups perform frequently -Both groups perform together at least once a year |
Differences:
-Troubadours is for older students- grades 7-9 -Troubadours is a lot more intimate- there are 15-30 singers instead of 60-90, so everyone gets more individual attention -Troubadours has fewer rehearsals- we don't rehearse on half days, we don't rehearse on days besides Wednesdays, and we occasionally have a Wednesday we don't have rehearsal at all because of middle school drama schedules. -Troubadours is a little more relaxed- because our singers are older, we expect everyone to be able to take care of their own responsibilities in a more informal setting. |
